Get started
- Open Gappi and allow Calendars, so it can find your free time.
- Add a message: on Today, tap Paste a message, or share a message to Gappi from any chat app.
- Tap Confirm on the time you like. Gappi books it and drafts the reply.
Let Gappi read new messages on its own
Apple only lets you, the owner of the iPhone, turn this on. It takes a minute.
iOS 27
- In Gappi, open Settings, then Message sources, and tap Get the shortcut.
- Add the shortcut, then turn on the switch at the top of it.
- That's it. New requests show up on Today.
If the screen shows steps instead of a Get the shortcut button, follow them: in Shortcuts, tap + to make a new shortcut, add a message trigger set to Run Immediately, then add the Gappi action Add Message. For WhatsApp, Zalo, LINE, Telegram or Messenger, add a notification trigger for that app the same way, and keep message previews on for it.
iOS 17 to 26
- In Shortcuts, tap Automation, then +.
- Choose Message. Keep Anyone and choose Run Immediately.
- Add the Gappi action Add Message. Set Message to the message text and Sender to the sender.
Share from WhatsApp, Zalo, LINE, Telegram or Messenger
- Touch and hold the message, then tap Share.
- Choose Gappi. Tip: add it to your favorites so it is always in the first row.
- Gappi finds a time. Confirm it on Today.
Something isn't working
- New messages don't show up. In Shortcuts, check that the automation is on, set to Run Immediately, and that Message uses the message text, not a typed word.
- The day or time is wrong. Open the request and tap the date or time under Gappi understood to change it.
- Gappi doesn't see my calendar. In the iOS Settings app, open Privacy & Security, then Calendars, then Gappi, and choose Full Access.
- Enhanced understanding won't download. Use Wi-Fi and keep about 3 GB free. It needs an iPhone with 6 GB of memory.
Delete your data
Delete a request or an appointment in Gappi, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. Appointments already added to your calendar stay there until you delete them in the Calendar app.
Privacy
Gappi keeps your messages on your iPhone. Read the privacy policy.
