Privacy policy

Gappi helps you turn messages into appointments. It is built so that your data stays on your iPhone.

What Gappi uses

• Messages you give Gappi. Text you share, paste, scan from a screenshot, or pass to Gappi with a Shortcuts automation. On iOS 27 this can include notifications from the chat apps you choose. Gappi reads them on your iPhone with its own rules; on iOS 26 and later with Apple Intelligence on your iPhone; and, if you download Enhanced understanding, with an open-source AI model that also runs on your iPhone.
• Your calendars, only if you allow it, to find free time and to add the appointments you confirm.
• People you add in Gappi: the names, phone numbers or email addresses of the people you schedule with.

Where it is stored

• On your iPhone, in Gappi's private storage. Only Gappi's own share extension and widgets can read it. Downloaded AI model files are kept there too.
• Appointments you confirm are also saved to the calendar you choose. That calendar may sync through your own provider, such as iCloud, Google or Exchange.
• A message from an automation that is not about an appointment is not stored. A message you paste or share yourself that is not about an appointment is deleted after 30 days.

What Gappi sends over the internet

Nothing, by default. Gappi has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

• Business channels (optional). If you connect a server that you or your business runs, to receive messages from WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Zalo OA, Messenger, LINE or an SMS number, Gappi downloads those messages from that server and tells it which ones arrived. That server is run by you or your organization, not by us.
• Enhanced understanding (optional). If you download it, Gappi fetches the AI model files once (about 1.4 to 2.6 GB; the size is shown before you start) from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) or from your organization's own server. No messages or personal data are sent. The server sees an ordinary download request, such as your IP address, the app name and the iOS version, and Hugging Face handles it under its own privacy policy. The model then runs only on your iPhone.
• Replies. When you tap a reply button, Gappi opens the messaging app you choose with the drafted text. Sending happens in that app, under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Turn off calendar or notification access at any time in the iOS Settings app.
• Delete any request or appointment in Gappi. Deleting the app removes all of its data.
• Turn off Apple Intelligence for Gappi in Gappi's Settings, under Privacy & AI.
• Delete the downloaded AI model, or pause its download, in Gappi's Settings, under Privacy & AI, then Enhanced understanding. You can download it again at any time.

This website

gappi.app has no cookies, analytics or trackers. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.

Children

Gappi is not made for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
